Biography

Kennedy is a native of Holton, Kansas and an alumni of Holton High School. Upon graduation Kennedy went on to attend Washburn University in Topeka, KS. While at Washburn, Kennedy stayed busy by serving on the founding team of two business startups and taking first place in two business plan competitions – one of which was at the international level, where he competed against teams from 32 countries. Kennedy graduated from Washburn with a dual degree in Business Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Upon graduation, Kennedy went on to continue his education at the Washburn University School of Law. While in law school, Kennedy focused his studies upon and received certificates in tax law and business transactional law. Having a strong knowledge of tax law and a passion to help others, Kennedy saw a large need in the market for utility exemption assistance. After seeing this need, Kennedy worked to create a company that would go above and beyond to provide accurate and professional servicing for companies in need of utility tax management. Serving as Chief Executive Officer, Kennedy works to grow the vision for SmartSave and create additional saving opportunities for our clients.

Fun Fact

When Kennedy was growing up he wanted to be a world-traveling archaeologist! We aren't quite sure how he ended up where he is now - but we're okay with it.
